SPOTLIGHT ON: Total Fusion National Program Director, Eddie Guerra

Hailing from Los Angeles, California, Total Fusion’s National Program Director, Eddie Guerra, has big plans for Total Fusion Platinum, Newstead – Australia’s game-changing, state of the art fitness studio.

Starting off his career as a martial artist and later becoming a professional ballroom dancer (he tells us they are more similar than people think), Eddie has always had a love affair with movement.

After years of training and experimenting with every possible workout, he asked himself, “What would it look like if there were no boundaries or barriers between different kinds of workouts? A system that welcomed all forms of movement, and you could learn to get fit doing yoga, bootcamp boxing, running, Pilates and the rest.” From there, a multi-modality studio concept was born.

Alongside his partner, Rachel Hall, Eddie created a competitive system that delivered the absolute essentials to take your fitness to the next level, incorporating powerful posture, sleek movement and result driven techniques. After practicing in temperature controlled heated studios (to help eliminate fat while gaining lean muscle), this “fusion style” became sought after by all of Hollywood’s hottest actors, models and fitness fanatics.

Now in Brisbane, the powerful duo are working relentlessly to create a network of master trainers and coaches at Total Fusion Platinum, to ensure students can enjoy the best results from the fusion classes they participate in.

“We want to make sure that all of the programming has variety, levels and increases the skill set of every student,” Guerra said.

“We want to create a similar culture to what we did in LA, a feeling of openness so that everyone feels welcome and is encouraged to do every kind of workout or movement. This is not your average studio and it’s a strong community.”

Your favourite class at Total Fusion Platinum?
It’s a toss up between abs, buns and guns. It’s a great workout and has multi-planar movement which I love. Hot Pilates, same as the above but with the addition of cardio/plyo
